Important Dates / Practice Changes:
This Week: Practice begins on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at KCAC. Please note the revised schedule for the first week. All practices are at KCAC during this time .
Blue: Tuesday/Thursday: 5-5:45 PM
Bronze: Tuesday/Thursday: 5-6 PM
Silver: Tuesday: 5-6:30, Wednesday-Friday:6-7:30
Gold/Gold II: Tuesday 6-8, Wednesday 5-7, Thursday 5-7 (note the earlier time for Gold II), Friday 5-7
The normal practice schedule for KCAC and Celebration Park will begin on Monday, September 13th
Upcoming Swim Meets:
Poseidon Pentathlon: Our first meet of the year is the Poseidon Pentathlon on Sunday, October 3rd at Mt. Tahoma High School in Tacoma. Sign up will open up next week. This is a great first meet of the season. The meet information is still unavailable.
October Challenge: The October Challenge is Saturday and Sunday, October 16th and 17th at Mt. Tahoma high school in Tacoma. The meet information is still unavailable and once it is posted, I will send out an email letting you know that you can read it. This meet has no time standards and is open to all swimmers. Registration will close on Sunday, October 4th. I have turned it on so that you can at least declare your intention to attend. Please note in the box any special circumstances (can attend Saturday only or event preferences)
Invoices: With the new registration system, there were some mix ups with billings for September. Please take a minute to log onto to your account to check your balance. If you think your balance is wrong, please email swimvast@hotmail.com so we can get things cleared up. I am hoping to have it all fixed for October. If you signed up to pay by credit card, your September dues were charged on September 1st.
INVOICES ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR September. LOG ON TO YOUR ACCOUNT FOR YOUR BALANCE! October invoices will run on September 21st and are due by November 15th.

Billing and Checks : Please get your bill paid by the 20th of each month to avoid late charges. Also, when paying your bill the BEST method is to mail your payment to:

rather than giving your checks to the coaches. Oftentimes, coaches do not get checks to the bookkeeper to post to your account for a couple weeks as we do not see her on a day to day basis. Please use the coach as the last resort for turning in your check.
United Way?: Did you know that VAST is a United Way charity and in your companies United Way drive you can ask that your money be earmarked to VAST. Money raised through United Way helps defray our pool costs and allows us to have scholarships available for swimmers who could otherwise not afford to swim. Our tax ID # is 91-2016265.
